How Many More R. Kelly Stories Do You Really Need To Finally Believe?

R. Kelly
R. Kelly is a fucking monster. PERIOD. I was going to write a long ass thinkpiece about how trifling many of y’all, who’ve continued to support this vile piece of shit ass negro, are.
Also, I have grown weary of hearing you niggas say how great of an artist he is. I got it. Niggas just wanna dance. Smile and dance. Shuck and muthafucking jive! Hell, where’s the Colonel when you need him? All you’re missing is the fried chicken.

You see… Y’all created this monster and this situation. When y’all learned about R. Kelly and Aaliyah, you denied it. EVEN WITH A COPY OF THE MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE.

When y’all saw this bitch ON CAMERA taking a WHOLE PISS ON A KID, y’all cracked jokes and said the girl was fast and who would let somebody pee on them?
When this spawn of Satan came to your cities, your dumb asses lined up and bought tickets filling his pockets. Talmbout- his music is separate from who he is.
Even “grown ass women” with daughters.
R. Kelly
When he went public with his 19 year old girlfriend whom he met when she was 17, y’all slow asses said..”She’s over 18!”
COMPLETELY IGNORING THE FACT that predators groom their victims.
AND NOW WE ARE HERE…and there’s some band of simpletons who will still listen to and buy his music. Even though- former staff members are busting his shit wide open.
Y’all will say they are mad or haters. Hell, many of y’all ain’t saying shit while it’s happening right under your noses so why we think you would give a damn about another predator hurting black girls and women.
I don’t know who these parents are.. but who would let their daughter go with R. Kelly ANYWHERE?
And now he, “allegedly”, has YOUR girls locked up and y’all need help. Well ain’t that something?
Your sorry asses are his accomplices!!!

I’d like to know how he avoided jail. I remember reading a looong ass article about how vile and disgusting he is; accounts of the lives he ruined. And yet nothing ever came of any of this?

    1. NDA’s and payouts

I never understood the adoration. Boon Docks has a episode about him that reflected the truth as you tell it and I saw it. People adore(d) the man and I keep/kept my mouth shut. But my soul and I were in sync about him and that is all that matters.

    1. That episode was everything.. Even with all of these new developments, there are still jackasses who are supporting this bitch.

Though there were some parents who naively thought he’d help their children in the business, by and large this demon was hella selective about who to violate. I’ve also read about parents and victims who shared that this fool and his goons had them in fear for their lives. Last year I had a serious disagreement with someone when she (37) and her man (48)came at me for “judging” R.Kelly and how they deal with artists strictly for the music. They’re both parents. They also each have a daughter. Needless to say, there was a shift in trust, how I view them, etc. Lastly, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that I had a LOT of schadenfreude when he and Jay-Z’s tour fell apart. I was very mad at (and disappointed in) Jay-Z for entertaining the idea in the first place. Despite his wonderful support and recent public sharing of his mother’s journey to being openly lesbian, we bloody well know if these were boys, R. Kelly would’ve BEEN a pariah. Sadly, even then, it would’ve been more about hatred/bigotry of our LGBTQIA family than genuine concern about violated children.

This right here. I was thinking that same thing this morning. We all know that he would’ve been shunned if he tried it with boys because “oh, that’s gay shit.” Nevermind that sexuality and pedophilia aren’t even in the same stratosphere.

Negra, you dropped a word. It floors me when anyone defends this asshole, but especially people who have daughters themselves. But that stems from the fact that a) no one cares about black girls and b) we’re not viewed as children. We’re seen as adults earlier than white children are. I have an elementary school acquaintance who calls R. Kelly her “husband.” She has two sons, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they grow up disrespecting girls and women.

Everyone in that article was trash. The FL parents made me want to fight the air.

This. Cosign. Snaps. Everything. “Nevermind that sexuality and pedophilia aren’t even in the same stratosphere.” People really conflate the two in same gender situations. To your point, “we’re not viewed as children” and as is in the article, the onus is put on GIRLS not the losers masquerading as men. Girls are blamed for their outfits and going through puberty because their very bodies are sin-inducing.

I mean… I’m 35. I remember when it was all over the D about him and Aaliyah. I’m 3 years younger than her.

These adults pimped out their kids for fame.

I’m honestly more annoyed with the parents. As a parent, you have ONE FUCKING JOB. How can you leave your child with a known predator?

Because you’re not a parent: you’re a simple bitch (men are bitches too) looking for a come up.

Hell no, these girls shouldn’t trust their families now. Because their families put them in the situation in the first fucking place. Their families were their original pimps; R. Kelly is just the new one.

The black woman is the least protected human on earth. And it starts with our fucking family members.

And when we walk ourselves off and refuse to deal with people who pimp us, we’re bitter and selfish.

Girl, I could write a tome.

(Btw- I live up the street from that FLL Hyatt you were at this weekend. Lots of Detroiters down here….)
