Yo soy una esclava a productos de cabello natural. I have a problem. Seriously, tengo un problema! On one of my many outings to Sally’s Beauty Supply, I came across a BOGO deal for Beautiful Textures products. Enthusiastically, I scanned the shelves, reading about each and every product the line offered. I am always giddy when it comes to discovering an awesome deep conditioner. I bought the Rapid Repair Deep Conditioner and the Tangle Taming Moisturizing Shampoo and of course I rushed home to try them out.
Reading the list of ingredients, the shampoo contains argan oil, rosemary, shea butter, aloe, olive oil, ginseng extract, vitamin E and mango butter. This particular list of extracts and herbs are pivotal in maintaining healthy hair. The mango scent is refreshingly pleasant, not too overpowering and it’s perfect for summer or it makes the perfect reminder of what summer SHOULD smell like. The shampoo lathered nicely and my hair felt incredibly soft even as I rinsed the shampoo from my hair. I, typically, wash my hair 2-3 times. The first wash is a lifting wash which means the initial wash lifts most of the product from the hair and scalp. I allow the shampoo to sit before I massage my scalp and vigorously cleanse my hair. This step forces any product buildup to be broken down therefore making your primary wash more effective. The second and third washes ensured that there was no more product in my scalp and hair. Normally, I abhor the feeling of not having squeaky clean hair. The Tangle Taming Moisturizing Shampoo left my hair so soft and manageable and I recognized the oils that were left in my hair to make it silky. I am willing to bet that the same principles behind Pantene’s Relaxed and Naturals line were behind the thought process of this brand. Well, Beautiful Textures pulled off something that Pantene could ONLY dream about. ME ENCANTA ESTE CHAMPU! Like REALLY LOVE IT! The cherry on top of this sundae is that it is extremely affordable. Less than six bucks is a steal for the quality of this product. I, highly, recommend this shampoo especially for 3 b/c/ and 4 a/b/c hair types.
I know it seemed as if I would never condition my hair but alas it was time to try out the Rapid Repair Deep Conditioner. What can I say? The conditioner offers the same extracts and herbs as the shampoo but it does give an added bonus of coconut oil. It is an excellent deep conditioner. I left it on for about 15 minutes with no cap in the shower and my hair was softer than a baby’s butt. I can only imagine the softness and slip that it would have given my hair if I would have sat under the dryer with a plastic cap for 30 minutes. It has been a while but I would love to see how this works with a blow out. According to the bottle, you can also utilize the deep condish as a leave in. I tried it and there is way too much product buildup and coating of the hair to define it is as an effective leave in conditioner. I will pass on that. However, if it’s a deep conditioner que tu buscas, you can’t go wrong with Beautiful Textures. You get quite a bit of product for eight bucks and a little goes a long way.
I haven’t been this excited about hair care products for a long time. These two products were definitely worth the trip to Sally’s. Have you tried this line? I would love to hear your opinions.
