Hola mis amores! This is the second installment of my “Summer Love Series”. Miss Negra With Tumbao is gone for the ENTIRE summer so the Mister and I have ample opportunities to reinvent our relationship. Father’s Day Weekend gave me the inspiration to plan a sexy, little getaway for my favorite guy. With the right amount of planning, this can be a fairly inexpensive to pull off and it can happen close to home. The weekend getaway is based on the idea of breaking up the monotony of being in your house. Home is where you cook, clean, take care of the children and feed the dog. Although you can create sexy adventures in your own living space, why not take a much-needed break and leave normalcy behind?

Our Deluxe King Suite at the Intercontinental Tampa

I treated my husband to an incredible overnight stay at the Intercontinental Hotel in Tampa. It’s considered to be a 4 star hotel and it’s absolutely beautiful. Rooms can typically be expensive however being a savvy, luxe budgetista- I scored a King Deluxe Suite with a bay view for a very affordable $75 bucks. It’s an hour and half  drive from where we live so it was the appropriate distance to be conveniently away from our home. The room had every amenity imaginable. It was definitely worth the money. The bed was huge and uber comfy and the chaise lounge provided more than enough seating space for a couple.

Dinner was absolutely DIVINE! Shula’s Steakhouse offers the ultimate dining experience although WE opted for room service. We shared a 24 oz. Porterhouse along with mashed potatoes, sautéed asparagus and champagne. We did make our way to the lounge where we opted for Dragonberry mojitos. They were a fresh take on my personal favorite and they were delicious.

In total, the weekend was a total cost of $200 and it was well worth it. The weekend re-established intimacy between us and I have to admit that this sexy adventure, DEFINITELY, brought us closer.
